Lesson 7

Wisdom is calling and no one seems to be listening. They are all going down the path that has danger despite the warnings.

Proverbs 1:24-28

But since you rejected me when I called
and no one gave heed when I stretched out my hand,

since you ignored all my advice
and would not accept my rebuke,

I in turn will laugh at your disaster;
I will mock when calamity overtakes you-

when calamity overtakes you like a storm,
when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind,
when distress and trouble overwhelm you.

“Then they will call to me but I will not answer;
they will look for me but will not find me. (NIV)

If we have not taken wisdom into our hearts, how can we expect the wisdom to come save us if we don’t know it even exists or how to use it? How can we use a phone to call for help if we never asked anyone to show us how to use it? How can we possibly come out unscathed without the humility to ask for help beforehand? How we expect to continue down the path and expect the herald to run down the road to save us when they tried repeatedly before?
